Our vision

Despite the region’s potential to be the birthplace of global businesses, many of ANZ's brightest founders build their ventures abroad or limit their focus to local markets. We want to change that.

Team

We are a collective of international investors, operators, and ecosystem builders with a shared passion for the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region and its extraordinary entrepreneurial talent. Our mission is to nurture, build, and back global businesses rooted in ANZ.

  • Mark exited his first company, Piper after raising $15m in VC funding from top investors in silicon valley and the world. He came to New Zealand as an Edmund Hilary Fellow a day before the border closed in March 2020. He saw an opportunity to partner and support top Kiwi founders as they built world-changing companies from Aotearoa New Zealand.

  • Hendrik spent the last decade at the intersection of venture capital, startups and corporate innovation in Europe, where he co-founded the AI House Davos, and led Europe's biggest AI community, the Merantix AI Campus. Before joining Merantix, he built the German branch of the strategy consultancy Founders Intelligence (acquired by Accenture and previously part of Founders Forum).
